A and T Painting was originally founded in 2001 by Amy and Terry Grimm. At the time Terry supplemented his income as a free-lance writer by performing pressure washing, gutter cleaning, window washing services and Snow Removal.

The business was operated on a part-time basis out of a spare bedroom in his apartment.

By 2002 Terry was hiring part-time help and had expanded the services offered to include carpentry and painting.

In late 2002 Terry began to work on the business full-time, and in December of that year the company moved to its current location on Rainbow Drive.

In 2003 the company began shifting its focus to painting and related services.

In 2008 A and T Painting launched its web site.
